Can collar interlining be cleaned with bleach?

Generally speaking, it is not recommended to use bleach for cleaning collar interlinings, especially for finer fabrics such as cotton or silk. Bleach may damage fabric fibers, causing color fading, fabric fragility, and even damage. If the collar is white, consider using an oxidizing bleach (such as oxygen bleach), which is much milder than chlorine bleach, but it is still recommended to conduct local testing before use to ensure that it does not have any adverse effects on the fabric. For dark or patterned collars, it is best to avoid using bleach to avoid damaging the vividness of the color or pattern.
